Society Meetings are held nine times per year, in the months of January, February, March, April, May, August, September, October and November. Each meeting is on the second Saturday of the month, at 1:30 PM. We hope to see you there!

Patrick Schroeder, Historian at Appomattox Court House, will speak on “Myths of Lee’s Surrender.” He is the author of several books on this subject and will have some of his books for sale the day of the meeting. Click HERE for more information.

The Franklin Historical Society will be sending a speaker to present information on Franklin and Bedford County families and their involvement in moonshine.
Annual Picnic at Loretta Miller’s home at 12:30 pm. Bring a covered dish and the society supplies the meat, drinks and paper products. More information to follow.
