Genealogy Lookups and Queries –
How may we help you?
Volunteers of the Society are available, as time allows, to do quick look-ups of wills, deeds, estates, births, marriages, deaths and other records at the Bedford County Courthouse. Other information sources available are: the “Bedford Bulletin” and the Society also has access to information on local cemeteries and is able to take pictures. We will do our best to help you find your missing link!
Please remember that Bedford County was formed in 1754, but it does not mean that records were maintained for all time periods.
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and put RESEARCH REQUEST in the subject line.
Please provide precise information, including spouses, dates, and locations, if known. If you have several questions, please list them in order of your priority. Please allow two to three weeks for us to work on your request; if you have not heard from us in two weeks, please feel free to contact us. Include your mailing address, phone number and email address if any.
We do not charge for this service, but donations to the Society are always appreciated.
